about the artist about the artist Peter Illich-Mrack is a European sculptor born in Carinthia, Austria.

He studied architecture and economics and had a left-brain career as an IT professional long before sculpture attracted his attention.
From early on, Peter had a distinct affinity to the arts, as well as equal interest in technology and human sciences.

With a tenacity to pursue all his passions, Peter developed a range of skills and a holistic approach that shaped him as a person and as an artist.

He immersed himself in stone carving with workshops in Germany, followed by tutoring in marble sculpting in Carrara, Italy.

Subsequently he gained admission to the Figurative Sculpture program at the Florence Academy of Art in Italy.
Peter took courses on Human Anatomy for Artists from Scott Eaton, London, UK, and an Art MBA program at the Professional Artist Institute, Ireland.

He makes use of classical and contemporary techniques, likes to plunge into distinct disciplines to broaden his horizon, explore new ideas, and merge his findings.

Peter lives and works in Vienna, Austria and Carrara, Italy.
